Qatar distributes special sun-blocking umbrellas to protect workers from sunstroke

With the aim of protecting the municipality workers on work sites during the summer, the Al Wakra Municipality has distributed sun-blocking umbrellas.

Al Wakra Municipality, represented by the Department of Public Affairs and Services Affairs, has said that the initiative aims to protect the municipal workers and maintain their safety from the risks of sunstroke and stress.

The umbrellas are distinguished by their thickness and ease of fixation on the head in a way that helps protect from the sun when workers are present outdoors to clean streets and roads, do agricultural work, in public gardens, parks, walking paths, and public squares, the municipality said.
