Qatar Football Team
The Qatari national football team ranked 48th in the latest FIFA World Rankings, released today by the international football governing body.
Qatar dropped two spots, earning 1474.6 points, compared to 1478.6 in the previous ranking. The team is ranked 4th in the Arab world, behind Morocco (1st Arab, 14th globally), Egypt (2nd Arab, 33rd globally), and Algeria (3rd Arab, 37th globally), and ahead of Tunisia (5th Arab, 52nd globally).
In Asia, Qatar is ranked 5th, behind Japan (1st Asia, 15th globally), Iran (2nd Asia, 18th globally), South Korea (3rd Asia, 23rd globally), and Australia (4th Asia, 26th globally).
Argentina maintained its position at the top of the FIFA rankings with 1867.25 points, ahead of France in second place. Spain came in third.
England ranked 4th globally, followed by Brazil in 5th, Portugal in 6th, and the Netherlands in 7th. Belgium is 8th, Italy 9th, and Germany 10th.
