Qatari Beach Volleyball Duo Win Gstaad's Silver Medal

Qatar's Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan won the silver medal of the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour 4-star event in Gstaad, Switzerland.

The Qatari duo claimed the silver after they lost to the Dutch beach volleyball duo Stefan Boermans and Yorick de Groot in three sets in the final: (21-23, 21-19, 10-15).

Younousse and Tijan qualified for the final after beating Russia's Oleg Stoyanovskiy and Viacheslav Krasilnikov in the tournament (21-17, 21-17).

In the quarterfinals, they defeated Brazil's Evandro Goncalves and Bruno Schmidt but emerged victorious after three sets (16-21, 21-15, 21-19).

In the Round of 16, they eliminated Poland's Grzegorz Fijalek and Michal Bryl in a close 2-0 (22-20, 21-19) match.
