8th Qatar International Boat Show
The 52-foot "Made in Qatar" speedboat and 35 other luxury boats were launched at the 8th Qatar International Boat Show, held at The Pearl Qatar, and continues until Saturday.
Thirty-six companies are participating in the 2021 edition, including six Qatari companies.
Qatari companies shined in the exhibition, which is gaining local and international momentum, and attracts many sea enthusiasts, as it displays the latest designs of local and international luxury boats and yachts, and the accompanying accessories and equipment related to the marine lifestyle.
The organizers stressed that the 8th Qatar International Boat Show is a unique event as it focuses on the marine industry in Qatar by launching the latest high-quality and modern yachts and speedboats - Made in Qatar.
On Thursday, Performance Marine launched four speedboats at the show, including a center cabin 52 ft long and 14 ft wide, the largest speedboat ever made in Qatar at a speed of 85 km per hour.
HE Sheikh Hassan bin Jabor Al-Thani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Performance Marine, said that the company presented four speed boats of different sizes this year, including the largest boats ever built in Qatar, which he is proud to present to the public in the country, especially marine life enthusiasts.
He added that the company will soon launch two new models, indicating that the company will also participate in the future in the Qatar International Boat Show.
Meanwhile, Ahmed Mohamed Hamad Al Hitmi, Chairman of Halul Boats, said that the latest ten new boats of his company, all of which are made in Qatar, are participating in the 2021 Qatar International Boat Show.
Al Hitmi explained that Halul Boats began manufacturing high-quality boats in Qatar in 2004 and since then the journey continues. He added that today there are several boat manufacturing companies in Qatar and they are exporting yachts and boats to other countries, in an indication of the quality of local and regional markets, pointing out that the future is positive for the marine industry in Qatar.
