Qatar national team
The three-man Qatar national team and accompanying delegates have arrived in Paris for the four-round World Golf Championships, referred to as the Eisenhower Trophy.
The Qatar's team includes three players, Ali Abdullah Al Shahrani, Saleh Ali Al Kaabi and Jaham Jassim Al Kuwari; the team's coach Hassan bin Ruqayyah, and Secretary General of the Qatar Golf Association Fahad Nasser Al-Nuaimi, as the head of the mission.
More than 200 players representing 74 countries take part in the tournament, which will last until next Saturday.
Through the tournament, the Qatari team seeks to provide an outstanding technical level, despite the strong competition that awaits in front of the stars of the game in the world.
On the sidelines, the regular meeting of the International Golf Federation, held every two years, was held in the presence of the president of the International Golf Federation, representatives of the International Olympic Committee and representatives of member states.
Fahad Al Nuaimi said that the meeting discussed the calendar of the upcoming world championships, it was agreed that Singapore will host the 2025 World Golf Championship, Morocco will host the next edition in 2027, and the next will be held in 2023 in the UAE.
Al Nuaimi stressed the Qatar Golf Association's keenness to let Qatar's players participate in important championships as a preparation for upcoming tournaments, especially the Arab Championship in Tunisia and the Asian Championship in Thailand.
