QMD: Region expected to witness strong wind and high seas

The latest forecast report by Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) states that the weather inshore until 6 pm on Sunday is expected to be hazy at places at first, and later varies from hot to very hot with slight dust to blowing dust at places during the day cautioning about strong wind to likely witness.

The weather offshore is expected to be slight dust at times, and warns of expected strong wind and with high sea.

QMD also added that the wind inshore will be northwesterly to northeasterly 12 to 22 knot, gusting to 27 knot at places daytime.

The wind offshore is likely to be northwesterly 12 to 22 knot, gusting to 28 knot at north at times.

Visibility will be 4 to 9/3 kilometers or less at places daytime.

Sea state inshore will be 2 to 4 feet, rises to 5 feet at times, while offshore it will be 3 to 7 feet, rises to 8 feet at north at times.
