QRCS intends to deploy a humanitarian aid ship bound for Gaza
The Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) revealed its intention to send a relief aid vessel, equivalent to the capacity of around 30 aircraft, aimed at delivering substantial Qatari assistance to those impacted by Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip.
Continuing their sustained aid and support to Gaza's residents since October 7 during the 73-day-long conflict, QRCS' aid ship is made possible, in part, by the #PalestineDuty fundraising campaign initiated recently.
In a statement, QRCS announced that the aid ship will transport a comprehensive array of essential relief supplies to address the health, food, and shelter requirements of affected individuals.
On Qatar National Day, December 18, the #PalestineDuty initiative commenced with three specified locations—Katara Cultural Village, Souq Waqif, and Darb Al Saai—designated to receive both monetary contributions and tangible donations from visitors.
Moreover, Qatar TV aired a live broadcast from 5 pm to 12 am, facilitating public donations and commitments in support of Gaza's distressed population.
The campaign was jointly launched by the Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities (RACA), Qatar Media Corporation (QMC), Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS), and Qatar Charity (QC).
