Discovery of Illegal Drugs at Hamad Airport
A traveler was arrested at Hamad International Airport after illegal drugs were discovered inside his body. The General Authority of Customs announced on social media that the individual was arriving in Qatar when an inspector became suspicious. The traveler was then made to pass through a body scanner, which detected foreign objects inside his body. Subsequent medical inspection revealed 80 capsules in his intestines.
The capsules contained Shabu and heroin, weighing a total of 610 grams. Officials stated that Qatar has bolstered its border security by equipping all customs officials with the latest technology to enhance efficiency and remain vigilant against smugglers. Hamad International Airport is among the most advanced globally, utilizing sophisticated tracking systems to detect suspicious materials. These devices are essential in identifying prohibited items, no matter how well they are concealed.
