People across the UAE are saying thank you to their country. They are doing it through a new digital campaign called Thank You UAE. The Security Industry Regulatory Agency, known as SIRA, launched the initiative in Dubai. It invites residents, citizens, visitors, and friends of the UAE to record a personal message. Each message expresses gratitude toward the nation.
The campaign asks people to speak in their own words. Many messages celebrate the UAE's resilience. Others highlight its stability. Several speak about the UAE as a home for people from every background. The response has been massive. Hundreds of thousands of people have already sent their messages. They represent 136 different nationalities.
Nearly Half a Million Messages Already Submitted
SIRA reports strong participation numbers. Around 454,643 people had claimed their message by mid-July. These participants came from 136 countries. They used the campaign's digital platform to record their thoughts. SIRA now aims higher. The agency wants to reach one million messages. It plans to keep expanding the campaign across the country.
The Reason Behind the Campaign
SIRA did not launch this campaign without a reason. The agency wanted to celebrate the UAE's resilience and stability. It also wanted to push back against misinformation. False rumors had spread during recent regional tensions. Dr Mohamed Al Hasan leads media efforts at SIRA. He explained the campaign's purpose clearly.
He said some rumors had called the UAE an unstable country. He noted this happened during a period of regional tension. People responded strongly against these claims. They shared their gratitude through recorded messages. Many also posted their support on social media. Al Hasan called this outpouring a reflection of genuine belonging. He said it shows the deep connection people feel toward the UAE.
Campaign Moves Into Workplaces Nationwide
The Thank You UAE campaign has entered a new phase. It now reaches directly into workplaces. SIRA launched this stage at Dubai Customs. Dr Abdulla Busenad serves as Director-General of Dubai Customs. He recorded the very first workplace message on the platform. Khalifa Ibrahim Al Saleis, CEO of SIRA, attended the event.
Dubai Customs staff followed his lead quickly. They logged their own messages using tablets. The department set up these tablets at its headquarters. This marks only the beginning of workplace participation. SIRA plans to expand the campaign further. It will reach government offices next. Semi-government and private sector organizations will follow across Dubai. The rollout will eventually cover the entire nation. Every employee and client can join through the campaign platform.
How Anyone Can Take Part
Joining this campaign is simple. Emiratis, residents, visitors, and friends of the UAE can all participate. They just need to record a personal thank you message. The official campaign platform makes this process easy for everyone.
This campaign fits into a larger wave of national pride efforts. Another example is the online UAE national pledge. That initiative invites citizens and residents to affirm their commitment. It focuses on loyalty toward the country and its leadership. Together, these campaigns show a growing spirit of unity across the UAE.
