Expo Doha's opening day charmed visitors with elegance

Expo 2023 Doha at Al Bidda Park delighted and amused visitors on Tuesday with a variety of activities, including cultural festivals and parades, as well as workshops.

The international pavilions add to the appeal of the first International Horticultural Exhibition to be held in the Middle East and North Africa region, while also showcasing the latest horticulture techniques and trends in line with the expo's motto "Green Desert, Better Environment."

Qatar’s strong attachment to heritage, tradition, and architecture is evident in its pavilion at Expo 2023 Doha. The pavilion, which resembles the Ras Abrouq landscape and combines modern design and art, highlights the country’s commitment to its history and culture.

The list includes cultural activities, entertainment, music, art festivals, live shows, thought-provoking talks, conferences, art, and cuisine.

The Sports In Nature programme, Sand Meet and Eco Challenge were held along with Qatar and International Street Games.Several shows are lined up for the Family Zone, where the Digital Park will host various programmes for families, youth and kids in the upcoming days.

The Grandstand Arena at Expo 2023 Doha will feature performances by world-famous international and regional artists. The Cultural Bazaar will be a vibrant marketplace selling traditional artisanal products, including handicrafts from various countries. The open-air Family Amphitheatre will host a variety of educational and entertaining shows and activities suitable for children and families.The International Zone is home to international gardens, exhibitions, and events. The Family Area, covering an estimated 500,000 square metres, will be a hub for family fun, activities, gatherings, and outdoor pursuits.

The 500,000 sq m Cultural Area in Doha features the Old Fort, Old Rocks, and Indoor Domes (indoor gardens). The domes will have controlled conditions to preserve the gardens.This space is ideal for growing plants that need specific indoor conditions.

The Environment Centre and Biodiversity Museum is a place where people can learn about environmental science, renewable energy, and climate change. It has exhibits on these topics, as well as information and statistics.

Expo 2023 Doha’s kiosks will offer a variety of cuisines and live entertainment, bringing together the best of worlds.
