Doha, Qatar
Northwesterly wind with speeds ranging between 12 and 22 knots and gusts of 30 knots is expected to return between Thursday and Sunday, again dropping temperatures to as low as 8°C.
The maximum temperature during this period will range between 17°C and 23°C, while the minimum temperatures will hover around 8-15°C, QMD said.
The apparent temperatures will be even lower, it said, adding that nights and early mornings will be the coldest, especially in the southern and outer areas.
The wind is likely to whip up dust on its course, restricting visibility to less than 2 kilometres especially in open areas.Â
Offshore, the wind will cause waves to rise up to 10 feet, QMD said and called on the public to avoid all marine activities.
The Qatar Meteorology Department has also warned of mist and fog during late night and early morning hours in places until Thursday. Visibility during these times might be restricted to less than 2 kilometres, or even zero at times in places, it added.
