Ehsan Center Celebrates World Alzheimer's Day

The Center of Empowerment and Elderly Care (Ehsan), affiliated to the Qatar Social Work Foundation, celebrates the World Alzheimers Day, which falls on September 21 of each year, by organizing several events and awareness workshops in cooperation with several parties.

On this occasion, the center is organizing an awareness campaign on social networking sites under the slogan "Know about Alzheimer's disease" with the aim of translating the vision and mission of the center through which it seeks to contribute to human and social development in the country, and to enhance recognition of the role of the elderly and support their active contributions in the society, raising awareness of the seriousness of this disease, as well as highlighting the importance of early detection of it in the elderly and its role in delaying the stages of disease development, as well as identifying the most appropriate mechanisms to deal with the elderly with this disease in social terms.

The center will also organize, during the coming period, awareness workshops in cooperation with Hamad Medical Corporation, including a special workshop for its employees who deal directly with the elderly to help them find ways to detect Alzheimer's disease in the elderly.
