QRCS, Ajial Qatar Sign Agreement to Promote First Aid Skills Among School Children
Â
Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) and Ajial Qatar signed a cooperation agreement to work together towards the shared charitable, development, and educational goals, under their respective visions in relation to youth training.
Among the possible aspects of cooperation are training courses; periodical forums; educational, fun, sports, history, and charitable initiatives; literary and art competitions; educational tours; and field engagements.
The agreement was signed by the CEO of QRCS Eng. Ibrahim Abdullah Al-Malki, and the Executive Director of Ajial Qatar Dr. Abo Bakr Mousa Abdullah.
"We welcome this new episode of cooperation with Ajial Qatar towards our shared development goals," said Eng. Al-Malki. "We focus on the young generations to provide them with useful first aid skills, promote the love of QRCS and charitable work among them, and qualify them to take part in foreign relief missions as representatives of Qatar".
As per the new agreement, QRCS will coordinate and deliver training courses for the students and members of Ajial Qatar on first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The trainees will obtain a primary licensing card for the Be a Paramedic initiative. Also, the ill, orphaned, and poor children will be engaged in activities, in accordance with the applicable laws.
For his part, Dr. Abdullah commended QRCS's role in creating a culture of voluntary action among individuals. He emphasized the importance of enhancing initiation among the youth, as evident in the heroic achievements of volunteers during the COVID-19 response.
He added that both agreed to engage some students from Ajial Qatar in the Disaster Management Camp, a training event held annually by QRCS, to graduate humanitarian leaders who will serve Qatar for decades to come.
