Qatar Museums
Qatar Museums has launched a series of new free-of-charge activities on Saturday across several of its entities, including the National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ), Fire Station: Artist in Residence, and the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA), 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum, and Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art.
Fire Station: Artist in Residence will offer a series of five-day workshops for teenagers and young adults (aged 14 20) each week of August, with topics spanning silkscreen printing, children’s book illustration, resin art, and analogue photography. The following workshops will take place at Fire Stations Education Studio.
In addition, the Museum of Islamic Art will host three workshops in August, catering to both families with young children, and adults, ensuring an inclusive experience for everyone. Also, Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum is running an active initiative designed to engage children and teenagers from 3 to 18 in an invigorating summer holiday experience. The museum is also running guided family visits, guided school tours, and story time sessions throughout August.
Arab Museum of Modern Art continue to host their guided tours and art workshops this August, as well as a College Night for university students and children are invited to explore their artistic ability and learn different art techniques in these summer art workshops at Mathaf.
