Qatar National Library (QNL) is hosting a special Storytime session as part of its Summer Camp and the Qatar–Canada–Mexico Year of Culture 2026, giving young participants an opportunity to explore friendship, imagination and cultural discovery through storytelling.
The English-language session is scheduled for Sunday, August 9, from 4:00pm to 4:30pm, according to QNL’s official events programme.
Storytelling Meets Cultural Discovery
The session forms part of QNL’s wider Year of Culture activities, which use books, stories, art and creative experiences to introduce children to different cultures and encourage curiosity about the wider world.
Through age-appropriate storytelling, the event aims to create an engaging environment where children can enjoy literature while discovering themes of friendship, imagination and intercultural understanding.
Part of QNL’s Summer Camp
The event is included in Qatar National Library’s Seventh Summer Camp for children and young adults, which features a range of educational and creative activities during August.
The Library is also offering an Arabic edition of the Year of Culture Storytime on Monday, August 10, from 4:00pm to 4:30pm.
More Year of Culture Activities
QNL’s programme continues with additional activities linked to the Qatar–Canada–Mexico Year of Culture 2026. These include a bilingual 'Make with Me' craft and art session on August 11 and a 'Creative Kids' activity on August 12.
The programme reflects the Library’s efforts to make reading, creativity and cultural exchange accessible to younger members of the community through interactive experiences.
