COVID-19 Update in Qatar June 2022
The number of daily average COVID-19 cases among the community has seen a spike this week in the weekly status report of the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) in Qatar.Â
MoPH has reported, in its weekly Covid-19 report for the June 13-19 period, a daily average of 448 cases among the community and 44 among travelers. This marked a continued increase in Covid-19 cases in the country over the last few weeks.
In the previous weeks, the total number of daily cases ranged from over 200 to 300 cases.
The ministry had reported a daily average of 323 Covid-19 cases among the community and 30 among travellers in the previous week, and 223 cases among the community and 23 among travellers in the week before that.
The corresponding numbers for the week before that were 159 and 19, respectively.
Meanwhile the number of community cases in the last 24 hours reported on Monday, June 20, 2022, is 602 cases along with 66 travelers.
Following are the highlights of the weekly report published by the ministry yesterday for the June 13-19 period:
* Covid-19 cases
— Daily average cases among community: 448
— Daily average cases among travellers: 44
— Total number of current active cases: 3,690
— Total number of infected people since the start of the pandemic: 376,149
* Recoveries
— Daily average of recoveries for the last seven days: 345
— Total number of recoveries until now: 371,781
* Deaths
— Number of deaths in the last seven days: 1
— Total number of deaths until now: 678
* Vaccination
— Daily average Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in the last seven days: 3,445
— Total number of booster doses administered to date: 1,669,004
— Total number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered since the start of vaccination campaign: 6,955,198
* Covid-19 testing
— Daily average number of tests for the last seven days: 14,383
— Total number of people tested to date: 3,614,674
* Hospital acute care
— Daily average of acute hospital admissions for the last seven days: 13
— Total number of people currently under acute hospital care: 43
* ICU
— Daily average number of ICU admissions in the last seven days: 0
— Total number of people currently in ICU: 0
Meanwhile, the Covid-19 daily numbers further rose yesterday as the MoPH website showed there were 602 cases among the community in the last 24 hours and 66 among travellers.
