Daily recorded COVID-19 cases crossed the 1,000-mark in Qatar for the first time in many months on Thursday.
In the last 24 hours, Qatar reported 1,027 new COVID-19 cases – 903 among the community and 124 among travellers.
The Ministry of Public Health also reported 689 recoveries. With this, the active cases in Qatar reached 5,447 while the total recoveries jumped to 385,818.
No new death linked to the virus was reported in the last 24 hours, leaving the total number of deaths so far at 680.
As many as 20,24 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours, bringing the total doses given out so far to 7,273,051.
