Forbes has released its much-anticipated 2025 World’s Billionaires list, marking a historic milestone with a record-breaking 3,028 billionaires worldwide—the highest since the list began in 1987.

Two prominent Qatari businessmen have made their mark on this year’s global rankings: Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, former Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatari Businessmen Association. Their inclusion underscores Qatar’s growing influence on the world’s economic stage and highlights their pivotal roles in both domestic and international investment arenas.

This year’s list welcomed over 280 new entrants, reflecting a surge of fresh talent and wealth across the globe. The United States continues to dominate with 902 billionaires, followed by China (516, including Hong Kong) and India (205). The rankings are based on stock prices and exchange rates as of March 7, 2025.
