The View Hospital has announced the recent visit of the world-renowned spinal surgeon Dr Alexandre Rasouli, from Beverly Hills, California- U.S.A. who successfully performed for the first time in the region, a 3 -level Cervical artificial disc replacement procedure.

The complex procedure was performed in just 90 minutes by Dr Alexandre Rasouli, an American board-certified spine surgeon who specializes in the surgical and nonsurgical management of cervical, thoracic, and lumbar disorders of the spine, degenerative disorders, spinal trauma, adult and pediatric deformity including Scoliosis, spinal oncology, and minimally invasive surgery.

Dr Rasouli gained prominence in the field of spinal disorders after his 2007 discovery of a novel method of regenerating neurons damaged by spinal cord injury using peripheral nerve transplantation. The patient was able to walk normally without feeling any pain and was eligible for discharge on the same day and her medical condition is currently monitored by a specialized team.
