Sara Blakely
The unwavering entrepreneurial spirit in the 21st century is inclined towards the principle of philanthropy.
Sara Blakely, the founder of Spanx, is the latest example of how business owners are driven towards sharing resources.
To celebrate the company’s $1.2 billion deal with Blackstone, the entrepreneur gave her employees two first-class tickets to anywhere in the world along with $10k (Dhs36,730) to spend at a destination of their choice.
In an Instagram post shared on social media, showcasing the billionaire’s kind gesture her employees were left astounded.
The entrepreneur said, “I really want every employee to celebrate this moment in their own way and create a memory that will last them a lifetime! Cheers to 21 years of magic and many more to come.”
Per NBC News, the employee’s choice of destination varied from spending their honeymoon in Bora Bora to visiting Sweden.
The idea behind this was for each and every employee to celebrate the moment in a special way and create a memory that will last them a lifetime.
As the shapewear company continues to rely on the notion of inspiring women, each gesture at Spanx works towards honing this principle.
Created by this self-made billionaire, the Sara Blakely foundation also includes the Lucky Red Backpack initiative, which has been the icon of its mission since its inception. The aim is to provide 1,000 business owners with $5,000 (Dhs18,365) in funding each business.

After launching the company 21 years ago, it’s inspiring to see how far it has come.
