PSA Organizes Regional Workshop on Changing Role of Official Statistics System in the State of Qatar
The Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA), with international, regional and national participation, organized yesterday a two-day regional workshop on "the changing role of the official statistics system in the State of Qatar."
The workshop aims to upgrade the national statistical system in line with the data revolution and relevant sciences and technologies, such as artificial intelligence in statistical applications and transformation in digital economy that the country is witnessing.Â
HE Dr. Saleh bin Mohammad Al Nabit, President of PSA, clarified that the workshop aims to highlight the importance of the national data system and updating the system. This also includes emphasizing the crucial role of PSA in managing governance, overseeing statistical processes and consolidating the culture based on using data made by all institutions in their different sectors, thus contributing to take sound decisions related to important development issues, as he added.
