Qatar Charity
Qatar Charity (QC) provided gas cylinders to 17,793 Rohingya refugees in Bhasan Char, an island in Bangladesh, and free healthcare services to 1,063 refugees in Cox's Bazar. This is part of Qatar Charitys ongoing humanitarian interventions for the benefit of Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh.
QCs relief team, in coordination with the government authorities and UNHCR, distributed cooking gas cylinders to the refugee families in Bhasan Char. Meanwhile, more than 1,000 refugees received medical treatment at the health care center established by Qatar Charity at Chakmarkul Camp-21 in Coxs Bazar.
It's worth mentioning that QC, since the beginning of the Rohingya refugee crisis and their displacement to Bangladesh, continues to carry out various humanitarian interventions for them. This includes providing shelter materials, delivering urgent relief aid, offering healthcare services, and providing clean drinking water. A total of 231,966 refugees have benefited from Qatar Charitys projects over the past two years.
It is worth mentioning that more than 950,000 Rohingya refugees live in the camps of Coxs Bazar. The government authorities of Bangladesh relocated some hundred refugees to Bhasan Char as part of a project to decongest the camps.
