Qatar to launch Mustaqel Visas for Talented Individuals and Entrepreneurs

Qatar announces the launch of a new five year residence permit program for talented individuals and entrepreneurs

Mustaqel is a state-sponsored visa program that aims to attract freelancers, highly talented individuals, and entrepreneurs from across the world to Qatar. The program facilitates the residency of these individuals by offering tailored visas that cater to their specific needs, thereby diversifying the workforce available to organizations in Qatar.

The program offers two visa types:

• The talent visa offers a 5-year visa, with additional benefits, to highly skilled individuals who have obtained an applicable employment contract in Qatar and meet the minimum skill and experience requirements.
• The entrepreneur visa grants a 5-year visa to business owners upon the submission and approval of their business plan, or evidence that minimum seed funding requirements have been met.

The new permit program is expected to open for applications in the next few months.

Eligibility conditions

Talent

If you are an individual talented within the below sectors and endorsed by an entity in Qatar, then you are eligible for Mustaqel Visa, but you should have either a job offer from an entity inside Qatar or financial means for 3 months’ worth 36,500 Qatari riyals or more :

• Information & Communication
• Accommodation and Food Services
• Agriculture & Fishing
• Wholesale & Retail Trade
• Transportation & Storage
• Financial Services and Insurance Activities
• Management and Support Services Activities
• Education
• Human Health and Social Services Activities
• Mining and Stone Extraction
• Cultural Talents
• Scientific research, development and innovation

Entrepreneur

If you are an entrepreneur having an approval from any of the below Business Incubators and the project value is 250,000 Qatari riyals or more, then you are eligible for Mustaqel Visa :

• Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP)
• Qatar University Business Incubation (QUBI)
• Qatar Business Incubation Center (QBIC)
• Digital Incubation Center (DIC)
• Qatar Fintech Hub (QFH)
• Media City
• Qatar Museum - M7
