The 2nd edition of HH the Amir Grand Prix Lusail Shotgun Competition commenced on Friday at the Lusail Shooting Complex and will continue until February 21. The event features a large participation of 250 shooters from 34 countries, including 12 Olympic champions and 42 shooters from the Qatari team.

The first day of the competition saw the official training sessions for the skeet event across four categories: men, women, juniors, and junior women, with 66 male shooters, 14 female shooters, 16 junior male shooters, and 5 junior female shooters taking part.

Qatari shooters showcased impressive performances today in preparation for the official start of the competition tomorrow, Saturday.

The competition includes both skeet and trap events across four categories: men, women, juniors, and junior women.

The official skeet competitions will take place tomorrow on five ranges, where shooters will compete over 75 targets distributed across three rounds. The competition will continue on Sunday.

HH the Amir Grand Prix Lusail Shotgun Competition, organized by the Qatar Shooting and Archery Association (QSAA) at the beginning of the season, serves as the best preparation for Qatari shooters.

The Championship is part of the QSAA training for official events organized by the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) this year, including three World Championships and a World Cup, as well as participation in the Asian Cup and the Arab Championship to be held in Egypt in April.
