Over 300 heavy vehicles put on notice
The Doha Municipality continued the awareness campaign to prevent trucks from parking in undesignated places, especially within residential areas and neighborhoods.
The Municipality’s inspectors conducted a field visit to some sites in the areas of Doha, and monitored a number of trucks and buses violating these rules.
Awareness posters were placed on these vehicles, urging them to remove it during  a specific period before necessary legal measures are taken.
Hamad Sultan Al Shahwani, Head of the Public Control Department of Doha Municipality, explained that the awareness campaign aims to warn all owners of trucks, vehicles and equipment not to park in places other than those authorized to park, especially within residential areas and neighborhoods.
He said that since its launch on September 4, the campaign has resulted in the monitoring of 313 trucks, vehicles and equipment and placing warning stickers on them to be removed by their owners during the awareness campaign.
Further violation shall be punishable with a fine not exceeding QR 25,000 in addition to removing the vehicle.
