The Internal Security Force "Lekhwiya" signed a joint cooperation agreement with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) to establish a training center for Lekhwiya medical personnel in accordance with the highest standards of medical training in the world.

The agreement was signed by Lekhwiya's Director of Medical Services Department Cap. Eng. Abdullah Al Shuraim, and HMC's Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Director of the Medical Education Department Dr. Abdullatif Mohamed Al Khal.

In a statement on this occasion, Cap. Eng. Al Shuraim said that the establishment of a medical training center will contribute to the rehabilitation and training of medical personnel and their support staff, in accordance with the best international standards, which supports improving the quality of medical service.

He praised HMC's prominent role in the field of healthcare, which Lekhwiya's Medical Services can strongly benefit from, confirming that Lekhwiya is strongly seeking to establish a medical training center under the supervision of Hamad International Training Center to benefit from their experience.

For his part, Dr. Abdullatif Al Khal said that one of the priorities of the Medical Education Department at HMC is to support and develop the workforce in the health sector in Qatar to achieve the goals of the Qatar National Vision 2030 in this area and support of the National Health Strategy.

Al Khal pointed out that the establishment of a branch of the Hamad International Training Center in Lekhwiya as a first stage will greatly contribute to enhancing cooperation between the two sides, affirming that this agreement is the beginning of a partnership for a long and fruitful strategic cooperation that will strongly enhance the quality of medical services.

He reiterated that the branch of Hamad International Training Center in Lekhwiya's Medical Services is the fourth branch outside HMC after the branches of the Ministry of Interior, QatarEnergy and the Ministry of Defense, which aims to develop medical training according to unified standards and improve the services provided to all citizens and residents of the state.
