Man seen in viral video beating delivery worker arrested

Authorities have taken action against a man for assaulting a delivery person. A video was widely shared on social media showing a man assaulting the delivery person inside a complex.

Ministry of Interior (MoI) said that the person was arrested and legal measure taken.

“With reference to a video clip circulating on social media, which shows a young man assaulting a delivery service worker at a complex, the assailant was arrested on time, and legal measures are being taken against him,” MoI Tweeted

In the video of the assault being circulated online, the youth in a white thobe is seen repeatedly beating the worker with what appeared to be a bucket. 

Loud thuds can be heard as the blows land on the body of the worker, who when tried to walk away had the bucket flung at him by the visibly-agitated youth.

Although the worker continues to walk away, the assailant picks up the fallen bucket and chases after him. 

A female guard at the scene is seen trying to get in between them in a bid to get the angry youth to back off. However, he goes past the guard, yelling something indiscernible at the worker before thrashing him again with the bucket.
