The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has suspended laser and hydrafacial services at a private healthcare center following violations of professional licensing regulations.

During an inspection conducted by the Department of Healthcare Professions, it was found that nursing staff at the facility were performing laser treatments on patients without prior medical consultations or supervision by a licensed doctor. Additionally, hydrafacial and skin cleansing services were being provided by practitioners who lacked the required professional licenses issued by the Ministry.

The MoPH confirmed that these actions constitute violations of Law No. (11) of 1982 on Regulating Medical Treatment Institutions, Law No. (8) of 1991, and its amendment under Law No. (14) of 1994, which govern the practice of allied health professions.

Legal and administrative measures are now underway against the healthcare center and the involved practitioners to ensure compliance with the country’s healthcare regulations. The Ministry reiterated its commitment to upholding patient safety and maintaining professional standards in all medical institutions.
