Qatar’s budget for the third quarter of the year 2023 recorded a surplus of QR12 billion, the Ministry of Finance announced on Tuesday. The Ministry of Finance said the total revenues for this quarter amounted to QR61.8 billion, of which oil revenues account for QR56.7 billion, and QR 5.1 billion for non-oil revenues.
The total expenditures in Q3 of 2023 amounted to QR49.8 billion, of which QR14.9 billion went to salaries and wages, and QR 17.5 billion went to major capital expenditures, with current expenses amounting to QR 16.3 billion, while secondary capital expenditures amounted to QR 1.1 billion.
The ministry noted that the 2023 Q3 surplus will be directed to repay government debts and strengthen public reserves.
