The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today reported that there are 130 new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) and 219 individuals have so far recovered from the virus during the past 24 hours, which brings the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 230,668.
Among the new 130 Covid-19 cases, 82 have been infected from the community and 48 contacted the virus while traveling from abroad.
MOPH reported no deaths in the country today, as the total death toll due to the deadly virus stays at 602.Â
According to the data, four individuals were admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) over the last 24 hours, and therefore 24 people continue to receive medical attention in ICU.Â
Seven persons were hospitalised due to Covid-19 during the past 24 hours, and the overall number of patients in the hospital currently is 83.Â
The total number of current active cases in Qatar is 2,297 and the total number of covid positive cases recorded so far in Qatar is 233,567.
5,233 tests were done for the first time in the last 24 hours and a total of 22,213 tests were done during the past 24 hours and the total tests done so far is 2,531,646 tests.Â
11,173 doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been administered during the past 24 hours. The overall number of vaccine doses administered since the start of the vaccination campaign is 4,515,730.

As the cases of Covid-19 increases in the State of Qatar, it is significant for all individual to contribute their effective part in curbing the virus by adhering to the mandatory preventive measures imposed by the government:
•   Maintaining safe and social distances in the public arenas.
•   Avoid close contact in crowded or confined areas where people congregate.
•   Wearing a face mask at all times.
•   Washing and sanitising hands at regular intervals.
Any individual suffering from COVID-19 symptoms must immediately contact the helpline number 16000. This is vital as the earlier the disease is detected the easier it will be to receive the right treatment and recover from it.
