A delegation of students from the State of Qatar participates in the two-day 11th Arab Future Programmers Competition (AFPC), which starts on Friday.

The delegation consists of three teams, comprising of nine students, three trainers, and three supervisors.

The information technology section of the department of educational guidance at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education recently organized the "National Future Programmers," competition among secondary schools that adopt the technological path within their educational paths to identify teams eligible to participate in the Jordan competition.

The schools that qualified to participate in the mentioned Arab competition are Khalifa Secondary School for Boys, which won first place in the boys' schools category (Python programming language), Al Bayan Secondary School for Girls, which won first place in the girls schools category (Python programming language), and Qatar Science and Technology for Boys, a specialized school and will participate in (Java programming language).

AFPC aims to encourage scientific and digital competition at the level of secondary school students in the information technology field, particularly computer programming, to develop their programming capabilities and transform their ideas into successful and integrated work paths.

Also, the competition would enhance the sportsmanship among the student competitors and teamwork spirit in terms of developing ability to find solutions to problems in the world of technology.
