The Ministry of Environment initiates the 'Al Enna' Awareness Camp at Sealine

The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC) has launched the Al-Enna Desert Camp in the Sealine area, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Civil Defense, Qatar Red Crescent Society, Qatar Scouts and Guides Association, and Nomas Centre, with a significant turnout of participants.

The camp will be open to the public on weekends from January 5 to February 3, 2024, offering various environmental awareness programs designed to cater to all community segments.These programs include orientation sessions for the public, providing security and safety instructions for the current winter camping season to ensure the well-being of campers.

Additionally, there is an emphasis on raising awareness about the general guidelines issued by the MoECC regarding land camping, natural reserves, and coastal areas.

Workshops are also conducted to enhance the skills of participants, training them in advanced first aid methods and crisis management with the involvement of a specialized civil defense team.

Furthermore, the camp features lectures aimed at reinforcing public awareness of the local environment, encompassing both terrestrial and marine habitats.The goal is to help participants internalize the importance of conserving the Qatari environment and understand the significant challenges facing the biodiversity of plants and animals.

The camp also addresses the impact of climate change and explores adaptation methods, highlighting the importance of sustainable development in preserving the country's natural resources.
