AlBahie Auction House plans modern and contemporary art auction

AlBahie is thrilled to announce the 11th edition of the greatly anticipated Modern and Contemporary Art Auction which will be held Monday 11th December at 7:00 PM in AlBahie’s main auction hall at Katara Cultural Village, Building 22c. The auction comprises 59 works from outstanding internationally renowned artists and includes for the very first time property from the esteemed collection of Sami Hindiyeh. Pieces from this respected collection include works by Jamil Hamoudi, Kamal Boullata, Latifa Toujani, Fouad Al-Futaih, Mamdouh Kashlan, Samia Halaby, Salah Taher, Saleh AlMalhi, Ismail Fattah, Mahood Ahmed, Abdulqadir Al Rassam, and Effat Nagy among others.

The auction is led by a spectacular piece by the Iraqi master Jawad Selim (Lot 40, untitled, estimate $35,000-60,000), two works by the Jordanian artist Saleh Almalhi (Lot 19, al-Mithaq, estimate $20,000-30,000 and Lot 35, Sabra and Shatila, estimate $20,000-30,000), a remarkable piece by the Iraqi artist Mahmoud Sabri (Lot 29, untitled, estimate $35,000-45,000) and a masterpiece by the Iraqi artist Abdulqadir Al Rassam (Lot 26, Manzar Min Shati’ Delga, estimate $20,000-25,000).
