MoL hosts an awareness program to promote outdoor workers safety
The Ministry of Labour (MoL), through its Occupational Safety and Health Department and in partnership with the Workers’ Support and Insurance Fund, today organised an awareness event focused on occupational health standards in outdoor work environments.
Targeting workers in the security and agricultural sectors, the event aimed to highlight key risks such as heat stress and chemical exposure, while providing practical guidance on preventive measures to safeguard workers’ health and safety.
This initiative reflects the Ministry’s ongoing commitment to fostering a robust culture of workplace health and safety across Qatar. With rising temperatures during the summer months, outdoor workers face increased health risks, making adherence to safety protocols more crucial than ever.
Officials at the event emphasised the importance of strict compliance with health and safety regulations to minimise occupational hazards and protect both physical and mental wellbeing.
The Ministry urged employers to prioritise the implementation of effective safety measures and reiterated its dedication to enforcing high standards in all work environments.
Through continuous educational campaigns and events, the Ministry of Labour aims to reduce workplace injuries, raise awareness among workers and employers, and align Qatar’s labour practices with national policies and international standards.
