No Covid-19 Related Deaths in Over a Week in QatarÂ
According to official figures, there have been no Covid-19 deaths in Qatar for more than a week.
Statistics from the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) show that no deaths have been linked to the new coronavirus in the last eight days, with daily positive cases continuing to decline.
The most recent death happened on July 10th, when a 76-year-old man with a history of chronic disease died.
This is in line with a favorable national trend that has seen an overall drop in cases even as restrictions are loosened in recent months.
The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today reported that there are 118 new cases of novel coronavirus (Covid-19) and 94 individuals have so far recovered from the virus during the past 24 hours, which brings the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 222,105.
Among the new 118 Covid-19 cases, 77 have been infected from the community and 41 contacted the virus while traveling from abroad.
MOPH reported no deaths in the country today, as the total death toll due to the deadly virus stays at 599.Â
One individual was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) over the last 24 hours, and therefore 31 people continue to receive medical attention in ICU.Â
Seven people were hospitalised due to Covid-19 during the past 24 hours, and the overall number of patients in the hospital currently is 69.Â
The total number of current active cases in Qatar is 1,574 and the total number of Covid positive cases recorded so far in Qatar is 224,278.
4,937 tests were done for the first time in the last 24 hours and a total of 18,615 tests were done during the past 24 hours and the total tests done so far is 2,264,026. tests.Â
19,961 doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been administered during the past 24 hours. The overall number of vaccine doses administered since the start of the vaccination campaign is 3,523,001.Â

As the cases of Covid-19 rapidly increases in the State of Qatar, it is significant for all individual to contribute their effective part in curbing the virus by adhering to the mandatory preventive measures imposed by the government:
•   Maintaining safe and social distances in the public arenas.
•   Must avoid close contact with others individual who are in crowded places and confined closed spaces where other people congregate.
•   Wearing a face mask at all times.
•   Washing and sanitising hands at regular intervals.
Any individual suffering from COVID-19 symptoms must immediately contact the helpline number 16000. This is vital as the earlier the disease is detected the easier it will be to receive the right treatment and recover from it.
